Engine-5-D platoon escorted Santa Claus to a community event yesterday. Engine-5-D Captain Kevin Turner, firefighters Horgan, Campbell, Henderson.
Engine-5-D platoon responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 95SB in the area of Frawley Stadium last evening. The vehicle was fully involved on their arrival. Engine-1 also responded for assistance. DSP one of our partners in public safety closed down the interstate so our crews could work safely.
Various companies from the A-platoon this past Wednesday conducted company level schooling at their respective stations. The training topics delivered were overview of aerial operations related to ropes and rigging including a stokes basket lower from Tower -1. Captain Gordon Davis led this training with his crew from Squad -4. Engine-6 and Ladder-2 conducted SCBA proficiency drills along with reviewing RIT equipment under the leadership of Lieutenant Michael Maxwell. #WFDSTRONG

Early this evening crews from the D-platoon quickly extinguished a clothes dryer fire. The fire was located in the basement of a 2-story end of the row dwelling.
Today Public Education Specialist Frank Maule visited “Tiny Tots” daycare center. The center is located at Tower Hill School. He delivered a friendly firefighter program to approximately 40 children and several adults. Keep up the great work Inspector Maule.
Today Engine-1-C platoon quickly knockdown a car fire in the 1100 block Lancaster Avenue.
WFD units responded this evening to a vehicle collision with multiple people injured 3300 block N. Market Street. Squad 4, Ladder 1, Engine 5, and Battalion 1 handled the incident.
