Self. Poor. Traits. A quiet moment looking at myself through a few mirrors. #wasteoffilm
I’ll probably never stop making photographs of this one corner. A quiet moment to myself in my apartment. #wasteoffilm
Aimlessly strolling around looking for nothing and finding everything. A quiet moment to myself. #wasteoffilm
Middle of nowhere, Missouri. A quiet moment to ourselves. #wasteoffilm
There’s a ton of snow in Kansas City which means I’m finding all the excuses not to leave my bed. It also means my current feed is nothing but snow photos. A quiet moment to myself searching for the warm kiss of the summer sun. #wasteoffilm
I’ve been listening to way too much lofi hip-hop radio lately. A quiet moment to myself in this hotel room. #wasteoffilm
I was flagged down by a security guard asking me what I was doing. I told him I was just aimlessly wandering around making images and showed him my Rolleiflex.
He put on a big smile and said, “woah, you are shooting film?” He proceeded to tell me about how back in 1970 he was in Africa and his father took a lot of photos with the same camera.
I asked him more about it and he responded with a simple “it was just a different time.” I asked if it would be okay to make his portrait.
He told me that his security uniform wasn’t who he was or what he was about. “This outfit does not represent me.”
So I asked if he wanted to stand next to me until I took my next shot so I could remember our very brief conversation.
A quiet moment with a man and a story I couldn’t find more about. #wasteoffilm
