@alexhonnold’s free solo of El Cap in Yosemite is being heralded by many as one of the greatest athletic feats of all time. Directed by @mochinyc and @jimmy_chin, the film was shot over two years while following Alex during his meticulous preparation and final climb. Much more than a climbing film, Free Solo is about life, love, dreaming big and facing your fears. Congrats team on all your hard work and for being nominated for the third annual Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards. @natgeo #FreeSolo We’re so delighted to announce that @freesolofilm will be available nationwide this weekend. For more information about cities, theaters and tickets see link in bio.

“We showed up in Antarctica with a loose agenda….didn’t want to claim much before we left since there were too many unknowns - how cold would it really be, how big were the objectives, what’s the rock like etc. The crew needed time to size the place up, feel the weather, understand the distances and scale before making any decisions. As one’s climbing style in the mountains is a very personal expression of one’s ambitions, we found the range offered many options for everyone.” Words by @jimmychin and photos by @pablo_durana @sav.cummins #TNFAntarctica17 #neverstopexploring

“I try not to have expectations of places, but this one has lived up to any kind of idea or dream that I would have had.” - @kitdski on her and @jimmy_chin’s trip to the coastal mountains of western Greenland last spring. See the full @roam film “AVANI NUNA” presented by @djiglobal in our bio.

At what cost must we achieve the things we wish to achieve? In 2017 we sent a group of explorers to Queen Maud Land, Antarctica, to climb in one of the most remote locations in the world. To better understand the trip we wanted to explore this question. In a 4-part series @sav.cummins sits down with us and talks us through her expedition. For more on the Antarctica expedition see the link in bio. #neverstopexploring #TNFAntarctica17

At the end of September, @hilareenelson and @jimwmorrison became the first humans in history to ski the Lhotse Couloir. After summiting 27,940-foot Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain on earth, Hilaree and Jim skied the 7000-foot, 50-degree "Dream Line" from the summit through the Lhotse Couloir. We couldn’t be more proud. Photos by @dutchsimpson and @nickkalisz #LhotseSki2018 #neverstopexploring

“By the time we reached the peak, I was so hot you could see the sweat stains. But then I started to get cold... “Why am I here?” I just tried to stay focused on what was right in front of me. And I kept thinking that there is an end—I will get down, get home safe and talk with my friends and family again. But I think it’s in those times that we grow the most—putting ourselves in uncomfortable situations and coming out on the other side. It gave me a new perspective on my life and climbing. And even though I was miserable in the moment, it was the most memorable experience that I will tell forever.” Words by @sav.cummins and photos by @pablo_durana @jimmy_chin #TNFAntarctica17 #neverstopexploring
