Loved talking to the budding #historians in the freshman #WorldHistory class at Sunnyside High School in #Tucson, #Arizona.  We discussed how history portrays "heroes" and "villians" as well as questioning what is or isn't inside museums. Thank you @azfilmfest for organizing the visit, and for the teacher and class for such a gracious welcome!

Still can’t get over the experience of seeing and walking inside the Colosseum. I used to just read about this in Gregorio Zaide’s World History book back in highschool! ❤️ . . . . . . . #Colosseum #WhenInRome #TravelDiaries #girlsgoneglobal #citizenoftheworld #iphonephotography #funtimes #Italy #worldhistory #zaide

Hypothetical History __ *Not political* *My opinion* __ Hello everyone, I am still not one hundred percent back but I had to leave my house for a showing (we’re selling) so I was bored and thought I would surprise you guys. This will be a short post and will only have one part to it. Today I am going to be talking about what if the Red Baron survived WWI. __ If he survived WWI, I think he would be in some civilian job involving flying obviously. The reason for this is because after WWI Germany would no longer have an air force until Hitler makes it again. When this time came, I think he would at the least become a pilot trainer I the Germany air force. __ When the Allies got further and further into Germany like other military teachers, I think he would go into combat most likely on the eastern front since they would need reinforcements to fight the Russians. I am not going to say whether or not he would be killed because that can go either way. I am leaving this one here as always let me know your thoughts/theories. #history #wor#worldory #world #ame#america> #america #washingtondc #nyc #newyork #newyorkcity #losangeles #sanfrancisco #british #england #unitednations #unitedkingdom #london #canadian #canada #montreal #canada🇨🇦 #atlantic #navy #army #military #soldier #france #paris #french #photography #spain

Remembering my great grandfather today April 24th. It marks the 104th anniversary of a very defining event in the history of the Armenian people. As of yet, unacknowledged Armenian Genocide in 1915 in which 1.5 million Armenians were systematically annihilated. This picture is of great grandfather, Reverend Aaron Shirajian whom founded an orphanage in Aleppo, Syria (in the middle with a mustache). With the aid of his staff they managed to help over 12,000 orphans pass through there over the course of 5+ years. In the last few years I have heard from descendants of the survivors who lived there, and continue to be reached out to about his heroic actions. To know these survivors and their stories helps me to know more about him and his work. I am very proud to be his great grandchild and more so of the fact he and his staff were able to help so many children reach adulthood in order to have families of their own. I feel honored to bring his memory alive again on this day in memory of the Armenian Genocide as we pay homage to those whose voices were silenced, and to the survivors. Feel free to tag anyone whom you may know as an Arminian maybe more stories, pictures and survivors who know my great grandfather will come about. Please do not hesitate to reach out. . . . #arm#arm#armeniancide #armenia #armenian #armenians #armeniangirl #greatgrandfather #family #familyhistory #knowyourstory #knowyourheritage #love #instagood #instalove #injustice #worldhistory #armenianhistory #photo #history #knowyourhistory #drawing #picoftheday #photooftheday #exposure #time #tbt #blackandwhite #truestory #truth #inlovingmemory #inhonor
