Hip Dips + Hamstring Leg Lifts 🌞 stick around until the end for a fun extra! 🥳 Plank positions are fantastic full body workouts in themselves; adding in one or two movements - like in this video - really increases the amount all of your muscle groups have to work. 🌛 Hip Dip Tips: 1) maintain a flat back (don't let your lower back sag) 🌟 2) your whole body should move as one entity - spine, hips and legs are a unit 🌟 3) use strength, not momentum, to create your motion (particularly coming back up into the plank) NO butt wiggles!!! 🌟 Leg Lifts: 1) maintain that same flat back (hips slightly under even - tendency here is to arch to get the leg to go higher) 🌟 2) keep your shoulders stacked over your elbows at all times (leaning forward puts added stress on your elbows) 🌟 3) height of leg isn't what is important here - focus on body position and you'll be working your body more efficiently and safely! 🌟 Enjoy!! 💖 Shout out to @yogiterr for having an awesome partner workout idea!!! You know what I love? Working out.⁣ Even when I don’t, I do. 😂 ⁣ Finally being able to lift consistently, work on me & lift only 3x/week (with a little cardio work) has genuinely made me feel so good.⁣ ⁣ I felt off. 💕🇳🇮 Thought it would be fitting to share today on #tra#transformationday this post about how proud I am of these ladies CRUSHING this Nutrition Challenge. When I started Mujeres Que Mueven almost 10 months ago I had no idea it could grow to be the size that it is today. With sometimes now as many as 6 organized group workouts a week, cooking and nutrition classes and nearly 30 women coming together to build strength, community and healthy habits. I am so glad that we decided to do this challenge. I have been overwhelmed by the response from the group members and their excitement in sharing recipes, exercising at home in order to earn more points and cheering each other on as they go. They are creating a tidal wave of positive influence on this tiny village and it is truly beautiful to watch. So in awe of their strength, persistence and their willingness to learn and get out of their comfort zone. ⁣ ⁣💕🇳🇮 We have been so blessed thus far in support in terms of donations of equipment and funds but we have big plans to grow the program in terms of both group members and equipment, build our own gym and replicate this project and bring it along to help other communities inspire their own healthy revolution. 💕🇳🇮 Here in Nicaragua where 4 of the top 6 causes of adult deaths are in part related to diseases of malnutrition a program like this can literally save lives. Please consider helping us with our goal to spread awareness and inspiration about health and movement. Even a $3 donation can buy 5 gallons of clean drinking water for our members and I promise EVERY dollar will be well spent.
