THE TRUE STORY OF THE DOUGHNUT/DONUT (and all other calorie dense not so nutrient dense foods)🤗 - Incase you read no further I want you to remember this - 👉🏻“Its what you do the majority of the time that matters not what you do the minority of the time. - One of the best things you can do for you mindset is to ditch "quippy" food labels and view foods for what the are 👉🏻more nutrient dense 👉🏻less nutrient dense Obviously you don't need me to tell you which you should be eating the most of! - Nutrition is not black and white. When considering if you should include a doughnut or indeed any other foods which are very delicious, calorie dense but not so nutrient dense you need to make this decision based on how the food fits into the overall context of your diet. - Banning yourself from ever eating certain foods just because, someone told you that eating them will prevent you losing fat or ever getting healthy is unnecessary. - The more food rules and restrictions you have the more likely it is you won’t adhere. - If you think about this logically which scenario scream truth? - 1.Fat gain suddenly happened after eating one specific piece of pizza or one slice of cake? - 2.Fat gain crept on over months/ years of not paying attention to how much you were eating, perhaps eating a diet higher in less nutrient dense, higher calorie foods than vegetables & lean protein? - Of course its the 2nd one! - You don’t gain or lose fat over night. - These outcomes happen because of repeat behaviours, not because of one “kaboom” moment. - Your energy balance was in a consistent surplus and this is what made you gain weight. - Did you know that the so called“evil fattening carbs” are very rarely just carbs more a hyper palatable combo of fat, sugar, salt deviously put together by food makers to make you want more. - Seriously read the ingredients and you’ll see. - In conclusion if you want a doughnut some ice cream or a piece of pizza then have it totally guilt free. - So long as these types of foods aren’t making up the majority of your diet you are able to just eat a portion then get back to plan then do it ❤
