Photo @erdenebulgan_photographer . . . . Khuvsgul Lake is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the border to Russia, at the foot of the eastern Sayan Mountains. It is 1,645 m above sea level, 136 km long and 262 m deep. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia and holds almost 70% of Mongolia's fresh water and 0.4% of all the freshwater in the world. Its watershed is relatively small, and it only has small tributaries. It gets drained at the south end by the Egiin Gol, which connects to the Selenge and ultimately into Lake Baikal.

This sunset just kept getting better and better! It was like somebody flipped a switch and the sky went from golden hour to a kaleidescope of color in a matter of seconds. I was out here all by myself taking photos when our local horse guide noticed and came over to help me get some portraits. This first shot of him with a white reindeer turned out to be one of my favorite portrait shots of the night. . . . #ppcolorstory #passionpassport @passionpassport #ONAxpassionpassport #tourmongolia #visitmongolia #travelmongolia #takemetomongolia #escapetomongolia #beautifulmongolia

One of the things I loved and miss the most about Mongolia, besides spending time with the nomads, was being out in nature all day. The feeling of fresh air, sunshine on your skin, and movement brings a sense peace and calm. Even though I have to wait until the weekend at home, I'm grateful it's Friday so I can get back out there. I hope you will do something this weekend, that brings you a sense of peace and happiness. #mongolia #winter #nomads #travel #nature #movement #altaimountians #optoutside #wild #landscapes#wow #hiking #views #peaks #mountains #keepingitwild #experience #immersion #culture #travelmore #justgo #visitmongolia #discover #travelstoke #outdoors #travellifeadventures
