Already thinking of my next travel destination for this year☀️...drop some suggestions for ya girl👇🏽
My mantra is to travel by deals not by destinations.
What does that look like?
Being flexible • Going places not on your radar. I didn’t have a desire to go to Iceland, but WOW had a roundtrip ticket from Chicago to Reykjavik, JFK for $300.
Whoo-hoo!!! I had an awesome time. • Flying to and from your destination on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, instead of Friday and Sunday. (Weekend airfare cost more) • Traveling to places during off-peak and shoulder season. Less crowds and lower hotel prices. • Being able to book the deal immediately and worry about the details later. If you see a deal for Nairobi, Kenya for $500 round trip. Book the DAMN Flight (excuse my French LOL). Deals do go POOF, and some may recycle later, but the chance you take you might have to wait months.
Who wants to pay $1,500 when you can pay $500. #bud#budgettraveller#blacktravelista#plussizeblogger#blacktravelmovement#tra#travel/a> #jetsetter#travelnoire #travel #traveler#travelholic #budgettraveller #travels#travelstoke#worldtraveler#travelonabudget
I explored Tulum with some of the greatest loves of my life and everything went exactly as it should’ve.
We swam in tear colored oceans and let cool Cenote waters wash away the salt, deep underground, clear as day.
Beach sand softly wore away a few illusions my siblings and I had about our fallen hero and then the Caribbean sun baked us closer and more firmly together.
We laughed over so many meals and discovered our food had never been better seasoned because of it.
I cried in the jungle and couldn’t be more thankful.
This is a visual representation of how I felt when I came out of the airport in Lagos - OVERWHELMT😂
'How are you madam' 'Do you need taxi?' 'Can I help you with your bags' 'sss where are you going'. Before I left my Dad already warned me - "When you get to the airport - if anyone asks to help you with your bags just say no because when they're done they will ask you for money"
I did exactly as my Dad instructed. However, once my uncle's car pulled up one man just quickly helped himself with my luggage and started carrying them to my uncle's car for me even though I already told him no, and of course he asked for money. Nigerians are the real hustlers don't let anybody tell you otherwise 😂
