Breakfast: • 🔹Scrambled eggs. 🔹Wholegrain toast with cream cheese. 🔹Peach and banana Greek yoghurt. 🔹Strawberries and grapes. 🔹Spinach and mixed fruit smoothie. • • I can say that this turned out to be a very successful breakfast. Greyson ate majority of his egg, finished his yoghurt and ate one slice of his toast and fed the rest to our dog🙈 He took a few sips of the smoothie but wasn’t very interested in finishing it. •Picky Eaters• Who else has a picky eater? 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ For some reason breakfast is the meal of the day that we struggle with the most, no matter how long we space it after Nia’s morning milkies. However, I have found 2 things help: 1. Cutting food into small, bite size pieces (even things like toast haha) and 2. These suction plates from @bamboo_bamboo.uk I just stick the plate on Nia’s little table. She loves being a big girl and sitting on her big girl chair AND she also has the freedom to get up and come back. If you saw last nights post, you might know where I’m going with this one! Finding creative ways to incorporate small amounts of Moush’s (5mo) baby purées into Datev’s (2yo) big girl meals. This breakfast yogurt parfait is topped with some of bébé’s peach🍑 and pineapple🍍 purée and granola. Next time I think I’ll throw in some blueberries for color contrast and a fresh fruity burst. See purée recipe below and some extra tips. . . 🍽 Peach and Pineapple Purée - chop peaches with skin on, and chop cleaned pineapple into small cubes. Place in a saucepan and cover about 3/4 of the way with purified infant water. Simmer for 8-10 mins. Add water as needed during cooking process if it evaporates. When done, there should be a few tablespoons of liquid left. Purée until smooth. I use a hand blender for this application. (Prep 5mins, cooking 10mins). *Deepen the flavor profile by adding an herb like fresh mint or basil after the cooking process and before pureeing.
