Some days we nail it & some days we literally eat chocolate in our beds. This was me last night. I was home all day with both kids, one who was sick and it was the type of day that exhausts you deep down inside. I did get my workout in at 5:30 am, but around 8:30 pm I drove to the store and walked out with a bunch of junk. Was it yummy? YES. Do I regret it? NOPE.
This is balance. No one is perfect and honestly, my body was tired and sending me signals for the sugar all day. Now that I have been running these groups for three years, I almost know exactly when these moments happen to me. Long days and exhaustion make my body think it needs sugar. There is a strong correlation between how much I sleep I get and how much sugar I crave.
So today is the first day of the rest of my life. We are all works in progress. Don’t beat yourself up when you don’t have a “perfect” day, but rather get excited that you care this much.
