I hear all the time man I’ve been working out for two weeks straight and I don’t see any results or I’ve been working here for 5 months and I need a raise. Success comes from a CONSISTENT effort day in and day out for weeks, months and even years before you see the benefits or positive results. This is why most people quit right before the reward is coming because they don’t receive that immediate gratification. Consistency goes unrecognized for a long period of time but when it shows up it really shows up. Once it does and success is realized you have to continue the consistency in order to grow and build on a new goal or at the very least maintain that level of success. SO... how do you stay consistent? Have a clear vision on where you want to be while focusing on what has to be done now in order to get there. Have a plan, write it down, create a schedule and stick to the routine. Do not allow your mood or feelings get in the way of doing what has to be done. Some days you will not “feel” like it but do it anyway. Consistency compounds with time and when you do the right thing the right way for a long time it will pay off. Then your consistency becomes contagious in the lives of those around you. @manningsumner #NoDaysOFF #Consistency

What do you know about GYM TOOLS? - No, I’m not talking about myself... 👀 - I’m talking about using equipment like lifting belts, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps that can sometimes be helpful as you progress in your training. - Sometimes we put too much emphasis on these accessories and lose sight of the basics. ☝️ - Thinking about the BEGINNER (or even a novice lifter), how can they be using that money spent on fancy gadgets in ways that would benefit them more? - Consider how advancing their knowledge of better lifting technique through education or working with a professional creates a better outcome than spending $200 on squatting shoes. 🤔 - It’s just something to (seriously) think about. - Many beginners already have foundational weakness that can simply just becoming reliant on accessories such as a belt. 🤷🏻‍♂️ - On the upside, there may be benefits when using these tools for heavy strength work or maximal lifts. - The real answer lies in the middle. These tools can be helpful in some circumstances but should never be relied upon as a crutch. 🙏 - Good movement and strength means not relying on external factors just to get by. - Keep this in mind the next time you are training and understand that our bodies are capable of being strong and safe in isolation! 👊💥
