Had a great maylong out in Sicamous#maylong#sicamous#sledding#hydemountaingolf
As I make my way back to Revelstoke from a wicked weekend in Montana at Sled Fest I know in my heart that this is the end of my regular season. Yes, Sled Pledge is taking me to the playoffs and thus extending my season but the days where I regularly fire up my snowpony are coming to an end for 2017/2018. Looking back this year has been a game changer for me and as such I wanted to spend the week sharing my highlight reel. So, here’s a week of my best memories (in no particular order) and the amazing people who made them with me.
This day sticks out so much for me for so many reasons. @ironsmith625 spent way too long helping me install my wrap on my sled the night before. Way. Too. Long. I joked that when we went riding the next day that I had better be a better rider because now I looked more legit. Well, shockingly enough I harnessed the power of the snowunicorn and did just that. This was the first day I rode trees with any success. I fell in love with attempting to weave through the pines and laughed the whole time in giddy excitement. Kyle ski pulled like a champ - seriously so enthusiastic - and spent the time to capture one of my favourite sledding photos taken on the season (posted previously). Thanks for making the day we rode together so highlight reel worthy, Kyle! Can’t wait for next years adventures :)

On May 10th, @srsheppard76, @krisksimms, and I trailered our sleds to Squid Gove Rd to get some riding on the Long arrange Mountains here on the #GNP. ☃️While unloading the sleds we discovered a problem that was quickly fixed with help from da b’ys in Castor River. ☃️While on top of the hills, we discovered a massive gorge in which a lone Canada Goose was chillin’, probably injured. ☃️We stopped for a lovely feed... Twice! You know a two-fire day is a good day!
☃️Arriving bear the hunting camp at Blue Pond, we backed out sleds up to the roof there was so much snow! The camp in Flat Steady was covered too. ☃️Sledding isn’t completed without a jump-sesh coupled with sidehill sanctuary everywhere we went. ☃️Finally we rode out the evening jumping in the sunset.
