In the late 80s, ANCA outgrew the existing facilities in Preston and after spending weekends driving around different parts of Melbourne, co-founder Pat McCluskey discovered the Bayswater North site that could provide the in-house manufacturing capacities to support the growing market demand. In 1988, the new Australian headquarters was born.
At the time, staff joked that the facility could be converted into six basketball courts and still have room for ANCA’s production workload but anyone who visits our factory today will see that our capacity has even extended across the road where ANCA Motion operates. The Australian head office today houses over 600 staff including aftermarket support and service, and engineers of different streams from applications to mechanical, systems and electrical.
In the second photo you can make out Mount Dandenong in the background which is still clearly visible - and a beautiful sight - from the front of our office today. #FlashbackFriday
