It's funny; it's only when you're somewhere remote that you start to miss the hazy and busy city. 💜 Does this ever happen to you when you're traveling? Or do you feel like you could just go on forever? . . . . . . . . #can#canupys #contentmarketing #ecommerce #startup #instagrammarketing #socialmediamarketing #copywriting #canupy #canupycontent #marketing #copywriter #branding #writer #toronto #torontosmallbiz #torontobiz #torontoblogger #torontostartup #torontoagency #freelance #remotework #remoteworker #digitalnomad #communityovercompetition #coworking #coworkingspace #newsletters #blogging #cityskyline #travelpreneur

I was chatting with a friend earlier this weekend, and she was telling me about some big decisions that she's just made, and also some big decisions that she's about to make. And she said something beautiful. She said ...⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ "When I'm leaving a situation for something new, I don't just try to get away from the negatives in that situation, but I always proactively work hard to make sure that I'm going towards things that I know are going to be better for me."⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ When you're looking for a remote job, don't just take the first thing that comes along because it gets you out of your office, and your commute, and your existing frustrations. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Make sure that you're researching what's best for you. Take the time to find those right-fit companies. The ones that have similar core values as yours. The ones that play to your strengths. The ones that have the benefits you're seeking. The ones that have the environment you're craving. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Because just like a relationship, or a partnership, you want to choose someone that will help you thrive!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Need some help figuring out how to evaluate potential remote-first companies? 👋 2018 headshot. I look at this picture and think man, I had NO IDEA what 2018 would bring; I went from freelancer (by accident) to remote worker and lived in five places across three cities. I discovered what it means to be adaptable and live in the present. It’s still not easy, but I’m oddly thankful. My relationships have been deepened and my creativity has grown. The world we live in is vibrant and at times dark, it’s okay to be vulnerable as you process what it means to be human. Every day offers a new opportunity, take a calculated risk and don’t forget to breathe. ..... #enneagram4 #freelancingfemale #freelancelife #remoteworker #MeshedUp #boldly196
