Arms Workout Series 2: Supersets ft @kwajofitness When it comes to training arms, most people tend to do 2 or 3 sets of bicep curls or EZ bar curls at the end of a gym session and they are done training arms for the day. To truly grow your arm muscles exponentially, you need to understand the anatomy of your arms. The arms are made of the biceps and the triceps. The biceps are made up of two heads, which are the long head and short head while the triceps are made up of 3 heads, which are the lateral head, the medial head and the long head. To effectively make your arms grow, you should try and hit each head of the biceps and the triceps. What is a superset? A superset is a form of strength training in which you move quickly from exercise to exercise without taking any rest period in between exercises Below is a workout that consists of 3 supersets which hit all heads of the biceps and triceps. Superset 1️⃣ Spider curls (short head of biceps) - 10 reps Rope pushdowns (medial head of triceps) - 10 reps Superset 2️⃣ Incline dumbbell curls (long head of biceps) - 10 reps Tricep kickbacks (long head of triceps) - 10 reps Superset 3️⃣ Alternate hammer curls (short head of bicep) - 10 reps per arm Dips (lateral + plus medial head) - 10 reps Each superset should be done twice before proceeding to the next superset.
