In this video we were playing around with different feels for the glove side.
Mike would pull his glove arm very hard, which caused him to rotate his upper body too soon.
To counter this, we attached a j-band to his glove arm. The j-band would create tension and pull his glove arm forward. His focus was to resist the j-band’s force and keep his glove arm back longer.
“Pulling” with your glove arm, coined as “positive disconnection,” isn’t a bad thing unless it’s causing a timing problem- which in this case it was. •
