Another Monday, and another Medal for 2019! I don’t really display medals anywhere anymore; I had these three medals sitting on my lowboy and noticed that they each represented a nearly doubling of mileage, from 13.1 to 26.2, to 53.5 over the course of 4 weeks - wow! I couldn’t have planned to do something like that without stressing myself out - instead I just wandered into each opportunity for the experience. But to think that I was even able to run for 12 hours at the #JackpotUltra this past Saturday after not being able to run at all after the #Pasadenahalfmarathon - I’m really grateful that I got good advice, great care, great support from my husband, kids, and friends, and that I (finally) took my rehab seriously. Guess I gotta keep up with the cross training - I might need to hang these three medals as a reminder.
