Are you getting unstructured reps or are you Training?
I can definitively relate all of by big wins to to setting Goals and building a training plan for them.
Many people go to a gym to work out, for better self esteem, lose some weight, join a tribe...I can go on with the list. Working out is an activity like taking a painting class, or walking the dog. It's just like brushing your teeth.
Training is a discipline. Training is a structured outline and pursuit of a goal relative to a big outcome in your life. It sets the frame that allows you to go after big things!!! The kind of stuff people will wonder how you pulled off by "going to the gym". And...I'm not just talking about athleticism. Hitting any big Target in your life requires training. That big job promotion, secret marriage proposal or whatever doesn't get accomplished by a few unstructured reps.
You get those wins by setting a goal, getting committed and training your ass off.
So... Stop "working out" and get behind a BIG Goal so you can train your way to greatness. -
