Travelled further North to Kakunodate today, which is so far into the mountains that the bullet train had to slow down to British speeds to get here. Kakunodate is famous for being a Samurai town and has lots of original houses still standing, some of which are still inhabited by descendants of the Samurai and have lots of exhibitions and exhibits on what life was like. The town also has over 200 cherry trees but unfortunately they haven't bloomed yet. Back to Tokyo tomorrow on my way home. (2/2)
