La pluma Osmiroid hallada en el mercado del domingo me hace mejor letra que al de Rubio y todo... pero me la voy a quitar de la vista porque me engancho.. #osmiroid#vintageosmiroid#goldnib
Those in UK would probably have heard the brand Osmiroid. It is now associated with calligraphy nibs and pens, but they produced fountain pens, lots of them and this is one sample. It is a celluloid pen with a pretty blue marble pattern. Nice and balanced in the hand. The nib was a steel Osmiroid that strangely wasn't even tipped with hard metal, rather it was pressed to form a "tipping point". So I toss it aside because I have just the right nib for this pen. Enter the Degussa nib. Degussa was a nib maker in Germany (no longer make nibs), who produced steel nibs that are characteristically... flexible.
Now the Osmiroid sports a cool flexible nib. And that makes me happy. :)
The ink is PenBBS whatever number that is I could never remember, but I remember the name of the ink "Beijing" or "Forbidden City", so let's go with that. The ink name inspired me to sketch an old house in a rural area in China.
