Friends over this week? Whip up @melissa.hemsley’s delicious take on guacamole in just 5 minutes. Made with avocado, chickpeas, frozen peas and TABASCO® Green Sauce this crowd pleaser makes use of your storecupboard and freezer staples. #TABASCOGreens Serves: 4-6 as a dip Prep Time: 5 mins Ingredients: 1 ripe avocado 200g frozen peas 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1x 400g tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed (drained weight 240g) Juice and zest of 2 unwaxed limes 2 spring onions, finely chopped 4 tbsp TABASCO® Green Sauce Large handful of fresh coriander, finely chopped 6 tbsp EVOO Salt and Pepper To serve: 100g purple sprouting broccoli Handful of raw radishes with leaves 8 small carrots, scrubbed clean and halved vertically if large 1 head of chicory, end removed and leaves separated Method: Defrost the peas by adding them to a bowl of boiled water for 30 seconds then drain and set aside. Add all ingredients together in a food processor or blender and blitz until you have a desired consistency. Season to taste and transfer to a bowl. Use a spoon to create a swirl on the top layer and drizzle over with a little extra virgin olive oil (to add richness and will keep the colour) Briefly steam or blanch the purple sprouting in boiling water for 1 minute until slightly cooked (it’s nice that they still have a little bite for dipping). Drain and refresh in cold water. Serve the guac up with the variety of vegetables for dipping. Any leftovers will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 3 days.

A commission made this morning. This ring features a glass cabochon. Making some of our own cabochons in our kilns allows me to have lots of sizes and colours to hand. It’s also great that we can use other’s waste glass to produce something that can be so pretty.This milky white one almost glows!
