The Parkland is located in the old Iceworks at 37c Piper Street. Their long verandah overlooking St Paul’s Church park is the perfect spot to experience spring (when it arrives), otherwise sit at the great bar and enjoy the big selection of wines from @macedonrangeswine @bendigo_region_wines and @heathcotewinegrowers whilst snacking or having a full meal. Open every day except Wednesday and Thursday. #kyneton #visitkyneton #wandervictoria #macedonrangesnaturallycool #daylesfordmacedonlife #nearmelbourne #visitvictoria #victorianwine #alfrescodining

The Royal George has been around since 1852 (originally as the Diggers Arms Hotel, then The Criterion, then the Wedgewood, before eventually adopting its current (and hopefully final) name. The original hotel has been much altered, the initial building being without today’s verandah, was narrower than it’s present Piper Street frontage, and was shallower, too. With a young Prince George third in line for the throne perhaps the Royal George is set for a period of renewed relevance? I hope so, you’ve gotta love a good pub!! #royalgeorgehotel @royalgeorgekyneton #pub #kyneton #visitkyneton #macedonrangesnaturallycool #wandervictoria #daylesfordmacedonranges #nearmelbourne #piperstreetkyneton #heritagepub #dananddan

The Market building was constructed by Kyneton Council in 1878 in an attempt to entice back commercial traffic that had been drawn away from Piper Street to Mollison Street by the arrival of rail in 1862. The strategy failed but the town was left with a fine building that today is @duckduckgooseandlarder cafe and homewares shop. Located on the south East corner of the intersection of Piper and Ebden Streets the Market building is part of one of Victoria’s oldest groups of buildings, the others being the Old Rectory (1850), Willis Flour Mill (1862) and @royalgeorgekyneton (1852, originally the Gold Diggers Arms). #kyneton #visitkyneton #macedonrangesnaturallycool #daylesfordmacedonlife #wandervictoria #nearmelbourne #heritagebuilding
