You can make this one in the time it takes to cook the rice! . . On the weight loss side is a much smaller version of sausage and it is turkey sausage instead of the pork/beef on the weight gain side which makes it much lower in fat and saves a boat load of calories. The rice, beans, and carrots contribute to the majority of the carbs in this meal. I like using sausage because it has a very overpowering flavor that helps to mask the carrots and broccoli. Plus rice, beans, and sausage is an incredible combo. . . On the weight gain side there is about 2x the rice and sausage. As stated earlier, the sausage is a beef/pork sausage instead of turkey. It is a fattier sausage and you can get a lot of flavor in this small dish by using a regular kielbasa sausage instead of turkey. . . Remember peeps, it’s all about calorie balance. ・・・ as convincing as 292,600,004 articles on google are, there really isn’t such a thing as a ‘fat loss’ food.⠀ ⠀ All food we digest contains energy, which means all foods contribute to our calorie total for the day ⚡️This isn’t a ‘bad’ thing - it’s how you survive, live your life and have the inclination to read my excessively long Instagram captions.⠀ ⠀ Fat-loss simply occurs when across time, you are eating LESS calories (energy) than you’re using through activity (such as living said life, scrolling down my captions etc.)⠀ ⠀ That being said; at the cost of actually making this tiny square useful beyond ‘lol everything ! ! !’, eating in a calorie deficit with a diet which;⠀ ⠀ 1. is relatively high in protein (to promote mostly fat-loss vs muscle loss.) 2. is fairly micronutrient dense (so you don’t feel shitty and get ill. Cus that’s not conducive for fat-loss.) 3. is still inclusive of lower protein, less filling, less micronutrient dense foods you love. Just in appropriate amounts (so you are still nailing 1 and 2, but within your deficit.) 4. is bloody sensible. Cutting your kcals stupidly low will make standing up feel as exhausting as 4 sets of deadlifts. Let alone having energy to do 4 sets of deadlifts.⠀ ⠀ There’s no universal ‘best’ food for weight loss. It’s too simplistic to say low calorie foods or whole foods are best. #Repost @cha@change_begins_with_you ・・・ Low carb egg wrap with any and all the things you can stuff inside! 😋😋👌 love this by By @feelgoodfoodie⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS 2 eggs 1 tsp water 1 tsp flour Salt taste ½ Tbsp olive oil ½ avocado, mashed 1 small garlic, minced 1 tsp olive oil 1 tsp lemon juice Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup arugula or baby spinach 1 small tomato, sliced ½ Tbsp feta cheese (optional) INSTRUCTIONS In a medium bowl, place the eggs, water, flour, salt and pepper; and whisk until broken up and the flour is completely dissolved. Heat the olive oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium . Transfer the egg mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly on the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes until the egg is completely set, breaking up any air bubbles that form. Carefully flip the egg over to the other side and cook for 1 more minute. Slide the cooked egg onto a plate. To make the mashed avocado spread, combine the avocado, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and salt/pepper in a small bowl and mix well to combine. Spread the mashed avocado over the entire egg wrap, top it with arugula or spinach, add sliced tomatoes and feta cheese (if desired.) Roll it up tightly and then slice in half. Enjoy immediately!
