In the past I used to get really hurt about how some people would treat me. I would take a lot of their words to heart and in the end, I’d feel sad. But when I started to learn that you’re only mirroring the other person and in reality, how they act towards you is really how they feel about themselves. So now when a person expresses anger towards me I try and create a space of comfort. I sit in silence and try not to backlash at them because I understand that dark place they are in. I want to be that light people can follow, not another form of darkness.
I can’t say I’ve mastered this state of being because there are times I can be the one expressing negativity towards another person, but quickly I will catch myself and change the situation. It’s important that we remember that life is a learning process. We will make mistakes, but those mistakes lead the way to the biggest learning experiences and growth. Namaste 🙏 🕉
