✨6 M O N T H S 🔒’d 💙✨ •It’s my #Lociversary so why not celebrate with some color? 🥳 🚨ITS OKAY TO BE DIFFERENT ✊🏽 LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO HAVE BORING HAIR🚨
Some people may not know this but 6 months ago I decided to challenge myself to strip away everything that Society had taught me that I needed in order to be accepted as beautiful and feminine✊🏽💞 When I started this journey I didn’t know what to expect. Now I can’t even imagine going back. My only regret was not starting sooner. From the lumps to the frizz I wouldn’t change one thing about my locs.
Growing up Society made me believe that my hair was unmanageable, too nappy, unacceptable & too thick. My grandmother gave me my first relaxer before the age of 5. Ladies you DONT need relaxers your hair isn’t stressed out! I was taught that my hair had to be “straight and relaxed” to be acceptable by society standards.
On April 22, 2019 I said fuck those standards and decided to choose my own💯
6 months later and this journey has taught me more about self love and acceptance than I ever imagined. 💞🙌🏽🔒✨ #6monthslocd#loclovin#locjourney#loveyourlocs#thelocdmovement#naturallylocd#followmyjourney
