Another gift from a friend I had to share with y’all... this is The Grateful Gnome - an engagement gift from a very kind-hearted and compassionate individual who is constantly putting others before herself. This sweet little sculpture is handcrafted in Iowa by Donna Young at @isabelbloomusa His message is to be grateful for all things, big and small, and he’ll fit in perfectly with my plant fam (especially this white queen caladium). ❤️ . . . @girl_gone_natural #natural #vegetarian #plantlover #plantmom #crazyplantlady #gnome #isabelbloom #madeiniowa #gardengnome #dirtyhandshappyheart #consciousconsumer #livelifenatrually #livelifehappy #positivevibes #girlgonenatural #openyourheart #openyourmind #beautifulnature #girlwiththebumblebeetattoo #begoodtoyourself #benicetopeople #thegoodthingsinlife #lookgooddogood #caladium #jerseygirl #jerseyshore #naturaljersey #njlovey

This story is just too weird not to share... a friend of mine is a sea glass historian and jewelry artist, a 12th generation collector/exhibitor/professional. Her knowledge of the history of beach swept glass will blow you away. She presented me with this pottery necklace- a favorite of her own- after I expressed how much I loved it. She then told me its history and the story of the Blue Willow plate pattern (which dates back to the mid-late 1800’s — the story is very similar to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet). Hours later, I was home repotting some plants (that’s how I spend my Friday nights these days 😂) and stumbled upon this little plate, which was also gifted to me, but as a drip tray for a potted cactus last year. Sure enough, it’s the Blue Willow pattern! This John Maddock & Sons plate was printed between 1855-1870 in England. What was once a dirty little tray will now be a cherished heirloom! (Notice the two lovebirds at the top - this pattern represents endless & eternal love ❤️)
