Week 4 of 5: #PilatesForGolf Side Sitting Kick plus Press Out/Rock ⛳️🏌🏼‍♀️🏌🏾‍♂️ ———————————————————————— ⛳️Wind yourself up and find the stability and strength in your shoulders, hip, and core in order to avoid taking this into your lower back. 🎯 Goals: Full spinal rotation with hip abduction and extension. ⛳️Consider which arm seems to be taking most of your weight and seek to equalize the weight between the arms. ⛳️If you lack spinal rotation, you may feel strain at your lower back or the shoulder opposite of the lifted leg. ⛳️Note the change of arm position down to the wooden platform, as Shannon @encorepilatesgnv demonstrates on the #reformer . And, I demonstrate rocking the Halo specifically with leg extension, that should also decrease stress on the shoulder or lower back. ⛳️To increase the challenge or if you have full spinal mobility without strain elsewhere in your body, keep both hands on the footbar and/or rock the Halo TO the right as you extend and kick the right leg back. It felt odd to have my knee cap in the correct position for a change. . Yes I’m going to the gym tomorrow, and yes I’m doing legs.
