Photo @emi@emilypolar The color of the glacial rivers in the Solukhumbu reflect such a stunning light blue color I get thirsty just looking at them! May they continue to flow as nature intended nourishing all forms of life below. To see more of Nepal follow @emilypolar #nepal#khumbu
It's almost been a month since we sumitted Ama Dablam! It's so surreal to think all this happened just a month ago, it still doesn't feel real.
I'd like to thank @exb@exbasenepal , Lakpa, Pasang and the rest of the basecamp team for everything they did to make the climb the amazing experience it was, i look forward to hopefully climbing with you all again soon! Thanks @alclarence for your unconventional encouragement and putting up with my excuses, whinging and painstakingly slow climbing and anchor building on training climbs.
I'd also like to thank the following gear shops, guiding/training companies and brands for their great gear, advice and service: @mountain_equipment_aus@trek_and_travel@paddy_pallin@k2basecamp@yamnuskamtnadv@petzl_official@blackdiamond@loweprobags@email@example.com@lasportivaaustralia@kathmandugear@arcteryx
Last of all I'd like to thank the Sherpa people of the Khumbu valley for their hospitality and kindness which is second to none, I'm yet to find a people who are as happy, open and accepting as the Sherpa i've had the privilege of meeting (thanks Lakpa for being the conduit of that experience!). I'd like to thank the other climbers i met during this climb for the sense of shared adversity and challenge, and my friends back home for supporting me in varying capacities. Here's to whatever comes next!
