Confession: When I started in this career I thought energetic medicine was very 'woowoo'. I was a scientific girl with a research focussed background. Although I went into Naturopathic medicine because I wanted a better approach to health - a preventative approach - I didn't know that as a scientific community, we still have so much to learn about the human body and the individual experience. . Since then (over 20 years have gone by), I realize that while science is super important, so is experience. My own experience and also the experiences of my patients. πŸ‘­πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ . I have definitely learned to listen before I give advice and I never rely solely on statistics. Each person is unique and every story matters. . It never hurts to think back on those days to remember how far I’ve come and how much more I can give to others who may not realize that there are so many more layers to health than what is published in the journals or taught in school. . . . ** What about you?
