Psyche . (Scientific name: Leptosia nina) . (Family: Pieridae) . "The hand that sent Jupiter spinning through heaven,/Spends all its cunning to fashion a curl." - Sri Aurobindo . These lines best describe the spectrum of nature's beauty reflected in mighty mountains as well as in a delicate butterfly. . This butterfly is commonly found in India and can be identified by its erratic and weak flight, while it's body is seen bobbing up and down in the air. . It hovers around at grass level and bears black spots on white background on the upper wings, thus giving it quite a plain appearance. . However, Lionel de Nicéville, in his unpublished manuscripts, refers to this butterfly as "wandering snowflakes". . I failed to understand why Nicéville gave such a romantic name to such unattractive butterfly until I looked through my lens and captured it's underwing view. .
