5 REASONS YOUR BODY ISN’T CHANGING ⬇️ - 1️⃣ YOU ARE IN A PLATEAU. So what. It happens. But how do you get out of it? Stop being comfortable when you’re training. 2️⃣ YOU ARE SACRIFICING FORM FOR WEIGHT. Actually your body is probably changing. In a bad way. 3️⃣ YOU ARE NOT EATING ACCORDING TO YOUR GOALS. Maybe you’re in the gym 6 days a week, following a program, and doing everything perfectly. But you still eat chick-fil-a (I’m talking more than once a week) and drink soda. You can’t out-train a bad diet. 4️⃣ this one ties back to #1. YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WHEN YOU’RE TRAINING. Your body does not want to change. It’s perfectly happy being how it is. You have to be CONSISTENTLY pushing your body out of its comfort zone. EVERY SINGLE WORKOUT. That’s when the progress happens. 5️⃣ YOU’VE BEEN DOING THE SAME WORKOUTS FOR MONTHS. Your body is very good at adapting to any stress you place on it. If you’re not consistently shocking the body, you will not change the body. That being said, you DO NOT need to do a completely different workout every time you go into the gym. Switching up the exercises too much won’t allow you to progressively overload the muscles (which is ultimately how you grow the muscles). Don’t limit your explosive training to just lower body moves. There’s a lot of upper body exercises and even upper body plyometrics ( although not as vast as lower body) that can be utilized. _________________________________________________ Typically I’d put these movements at the start of an upper body day and then go into a more normal routine. Usually I leave the power and explosive stuff for when I’m still fresh. I’ve seen some people do it differently and they may have their reasoning. But this is just the way I do it. _________________________________________________ I encourage you to think about your programming more. Why do this exercise over the other? Why does exercise order matter? How many reps?
