We've been very busy all Friday from dawn to dusk. .
It was Elementary School's Annual Day in the evening.
Grade 6 and 7 put up a beverage counter for cold flower drinks and hot flower and herb teas, all from pretty edible flowers and herbs grown in our school.
They made creative posters for the stall in the morning. .
We prepared the cold beverages in the morning - pink blue butterfly pea flower lemonade and our favorite vampire drink - chilled blood red Roselle tea. .
We also used clear sample glasses with the drinks and flowers as display for parents and guests to choose and for us to explain better. Powdered jaggery from Organic Farmer's Market was served separately incase anyone wanted a sweetener. .
Hot teas were served at the stall that we made on two induction stoves - fragrant Lemon Grass tea and magic butterfly pea flower tea with cardamom and cinnamon. Grade 7 would show their customers the blue drink and then magically turn it pink with their lemon squeeze wand! .
We were mobbed! And many came for second and third helpings. Now we need to rest this weekend. .
