Monkeying 🐒 around after my leg day yesterday and Finally got over the fear of falling on my face and even though it’s not as graceful as I’d like theirs always room for improvement 😊A lot of people have been asking me recently why I started gymnastics? And the realistic answer was because I wanted to learn how to do some cool tricks 🤣 there were no fitness goals involved and I had no intentions of keeping it up but here we are 9 months later (3 month break in between while half marathon training) and I’m officially hooked ♥️Gymnastics not only makes me feel powerful but also gives me a new appreciation for my body. The ability to throw it all over the place and with minor bumps and bruises it’s able to catch me, support me, and allow me to create a stronger me overall that benefits me in my workouts later on. How I’ve been incorporating gymnastics/ calisthenics training is paired with my cardio/ab days. Gymnastics has also helped me with my muscle recovery through stretching as well as helped to improve my flexibility overall.
