PERFECTION VS. CONSISTENCY - Are you more 50% or 80%? - A huuuge mistake many people make with their eating & exercise is the “all or nothing” mindset that has them either completely dialed in… - …Or completely off the rails. - They are either eating all healthy foods and working out every day (100%), or they’re eating complete junk living the couch potato lifestyle (0%). - There is no in between. - When you follow this ‘all or nothing’ approach, you will initially make some progress, but the unsustainable nature of being too rigid with your plan will eventually lead you to fall off the wagon…(again). - The positive progress you made will be erased… - …And the weight you lost will be regained, leaving you right back were you started… - …Until you decide to do it all over again. - The vicious cycle of either being "on" or "off" not only leaves you spinning your wheels in terms of improving your body composition… - Mentally, it's not a healthy place to be either. - The most successful people find the middle ground… - This is where the consistency mindset comes in…you exercise most days, but not every single day. Your diet is usually good, but not all the time. You are on track 80% of the time, while the other 20% you let loose a bit. - With this frame of mind, a pizza night or drinks with friends is viewed as PART of the plan, rather than a complete deviation FROM the plan. - Simple math here….80% on track is much better than 50%! .
