A few years ago our backyard was looking like a small urban farm. In the middle of the town, we have had a vegetable garden, pigs, ducks, chickens, goats, rabbits, turkeys. When I think about it, we were running lots of stuff in such a small space, and in the middle of the small town. Few years forward and we "only" have a vegetable garden. The animals are gone, and I am not sorry because of that, but I miss our chickens. The eggs were so much better than the one bought from the market. For the last few weeks, I am pushing an idea to make a space for a chicken coop so we can grow around 3-4 chickens. Nothing large, but enough for eggs and later maneuver for composting. I still don't have enough allies on my side but I can see that I started a conversation, which is good. The biggest problem lies in lacking space for chicken coop since our greenhouse is taking every space available in the backyard. But here is the great part. I found a chicken coop that could easily fit near the greenhouse and it would look great. Why I chose this chicken coop? Like I said before, I would like to have 3-4 chickens and this chicken coop has great size for 4 chickens, also there is a space for the outdoor run, so chickens would have a space for moving and there is also a nesting box, it has a divider so 2 chickens can lay the eggs at the same time which is perfect because we would like to get eggs. The build quality is great and every part has an outside access. Cleaning and feeding shouldn't be a problem. I am getting this coop for the chickens, but it is great for ducks and even rabbits. If you want to find out more info about this chicken coop I posted the link in the bio so you can go there and check it out. . . . . . #urb#urbanfarm/a> #urbanfarm #eatwhatyougrow #eatyourgreens #urbanorganicgardener #backyardfarm #backyardfarming #backyardfarmer #urbanfarmer #seedlings #seedstaring #raisedbeds #backyardgarden #thehappygardeninglife #gardenersofinstagram #gardeningisfun #gardeningtips #farminghacks

Super, super thankful for this nifty little trick the hubs showed be a few weeks ago! It made taking out fence posts by myself a whole lot easier. I’m in full swing here with fall chores! #farminghacks #cutflowers #womenwhofarm #flowerfarmer #unless #unlessfarms

This is the well known image for every gardener at the end of the summer. Our gardens look exhausted, half empty and like ourself garden needs a few days of refreshing until we start preparing autumn crops πŸ€— . This is my mysterious finding. I don't know how this mushroom landed in my garden, because it is the same soil for the last 3 years, and this is the first time I have mushroom in my greenhouse. Apparently this is Puffball mushroom. I never saw this species. Did you eat this mushroom? . . . . . . #gardenersofinstagram #gardeningisfun #gardeningtips #farminghacks #amazinggardener
