Felt a bit chilly today so I made a curry bowl with buckwheat noodles I found hidden in my pantry. You can make this is as spicy or as mild as you want, just adjust the chili powder or flakes. — Ingredients: -tofu, cubed and baked or fried (I used half a pack, leftovers from the previous day) -pechay -noodle of your choice -1 red onion -3-5 cloves of garlic -1 green pepper/sili sigang -curry paste or powder -cumin, turmeric, mustard seed, cinnamon powder, chili flakes, salt -1 can coconut milk — 1. Sauté the spices with the onion, garlic, and pepper in a little oil. 2. Add the coconut milk and stir. 3. Add the pechay, tofu, and cooked noodles. Take off the stove when pechay has softened to your liking (I like it cronchy). 4. Garnish with your choice of toppings. It's Friday, it means the week-end is coming soon! Because we had a bit of a spring here, in The Netherlands, I made a Thai wild rice salad. And if it's still not warm in your country, don't be scared, it will warm you up in a minute! With the best sauce ever 😍 made with fresh chilis. . For the salad it self just mix wild rice, carrots, red cabbage, green onion and cilantro. . Did you know that wild rice is actually not from the rice family (Oriza Sativa)? It's from the gramineae grass family 🤓. And it is mostly cultivated in North America. . Have you ever made roast potatoes before? I’m talking British-style, peeled and parboiled before roasting in the oven until they’re golden brown.
