An amazing result last weekend from the wonderful Pharaoh’s Secret Angels team! They raised over $14,000 at their Ladies Day and we were thrilled to play a small part in that!

Series is slightly out of order, but after being “forced” into the pseudo-experiment of what is the first image, I’m absolutely in LOVE and therefore just had to share it first. This was taken on the third floor, giving you a slight glimpse above and below. Image two provides you with the picture-story to help show how we sort of fell into such a dramatic, perhaps unexpected, multi-story hallway. — Our living room is comprised of a black, gray, and white pallet (we still need lights, and a show-piece painting, but mood board coming soon!); we also knew we wanted one wall to be painted black. With the layout of the room, we were given no other option besides the wall that our stairs are on — our floating stairs. After trying to think, Google, and come up with nothing, I finally found one image that had (only) a similar situation to ours. And it looked pretty cool. The up side to this, is that after running up the entire right side of the stairs and hallway, the stairs end in the media room: a room we were also painting a very dark gray/black color. PERFECT. I’m so in love with this, even after only the first coat of paint. I never would’ve thought of anything like this — let alone guessed its amazing outcome (as much as I’m in love with contemporary design, it’s something I’m still working on putting together myself). And it really helps me to reign in the art for my hallways as I was having an incredibly difficult time in that respect. ps: don’t look too closely at my stairs. The current “treads” are temporary (and terrifying) 2x4s until the real things are stained and installed. — #law#lawrenceville/a> #lawrenceville #modernhome #contemporaryhome #newconstruction #customhomes #customnbuilt #blueprints #floatingstairs #inspiration #ben#benjaminmooreblackpanther #benjaminmoore
