3 is the magic number when it comes to achieving a fitness or health goal. There Must be 3 things on your MUST do list & NOT on a “to do” list. That’s the secret to achieving your goal. Musts not maybes. In order to create a habit? you need willpower and discipline. Willpower is a fuel gauge. So it runs out. It’s linked to nutrition and you need to manage it through out the day. Each decision you make, uses up willpower. So try and minimise unnecessarily decisions with eg food prep or training exercise selection. This is why you must only have 3 things to get done and they must get done. Then when willpower is high, get your must do’s done. Everything after this is a bonus. After 66 days (according to research from UCL), your habit requires less discipline, therefore less willpower and you now can move onto the next goal. It’s that simple but it’s very likely you won’t do it. The reason why, because you haven’t planned out the process of achieving the goal. Day 3 of gluten bloat. ••• I decided enough was enough I wanted to eat normal food. A little bit of gluten would be alright....right? Oh how wrong I was. My stomach churned all night after eating it and I couldn’t sleep, the next day I felt as if there was a ballon under my lungs and today I ran the slowest I’ve ever run in the parkrun. Going to go a Low fodmap diet till it clears! ••• I’m finding it hard but I guess it’s a massive learning curve!
