Fantastic morning at today’s training with PT @edm@edmanjoel that gave me a new PB on sumo deadlifts. We started with a slow 800 meter warmup run on 4:26 just to get me warm. In the gym we started with stretching using a Pilates ball. First where I had my feet on the ball and my ass up in the air. Then I was to “pull” the ball towards my ass and then out again only using my feet and ankles. We did three sets of roughly 14-18 reps. Then the ball at the wall and “lunges” in under the ball. We did three sets of between 12 and 15 reps on each leg forward and the other back. Then it was time for sumo deadlifts. We started with 8 lifts on 40 kg and then 5 on 70 kg. Then we went for 3 lifts on 90 kg. As that look and felt good we went for 95 kg where we did 2 sets of 3 reps and one on 2 reps which is a great new ZpB as previous was 1x3 + 2x2 on 90 kg for sumo. The aim is 100 kg next time or the time after that. Then we went back down to 70 kg and 8 lifts. Then Joel asked me to go down to the start position and stay there for roughly 30 secs. And then we did 5 lifts and down to the start position and stay there for another 30 secs.
