TODAY’S RUN WAS 16 PAINFUL MILES 🏃🏽‍♀️ We ain’t sugar coating it tonight... *cue everyone looking at the picture in confusion* Aiiiiiight.. the pic is misleading.. I had a grumpy running pic to post, but just couldn’t put that much negative energy out. So here we go... I want to stay real... So marathon training is hard... & I’ve been posting my journey for a few months... & well my dad called me out for not being very authentic on the gram lately... Yep..my dad follows me on here & he told me that I’m not being honest.. He said I post one thing & then say the opposite.. So tonight we talk truth.. Today’s run was a CHALLENGE (to say the least) For the last couple weeks I have been OVER RUNNING.. Like really over it.. & today during my run I realised why.. Go figure a run would also cue me in on why I’m mad about running. 1st being my body is falling apart & the amount of pain I’m still in is really killing the vibe, aka send help I can’t walk up the stairs 😅 2nd my stubbornness of my body rebelling has just lead me to push it harder instead of take it easy.. Today during my run I ran w/ my music LOUD & my energy even HARDER. It was a lot of internal struggle & the only way for me to push thru it was by ignoring the world & running faster. Like seriously.. I PR-d my 10K & ran a half marathon in 2:08:29. *hashtag hot mess* 3rd I realised I’ve just been REALLY SAD the last few weeks in all aspects of life bc of the rejection of not being a part of the crew. Stupid? Yes. But true. My dad told me he had connected this dot weeks ago, but I didn’t realise until today that not being accepted threw me back to all the many sports & teams I have tried out for in the past that I didn’t make & tbh I think I’ve just been having a pity party for not being good enough. (SIDE NOTE: If you ever auditioned or applied to something & didn’t get accepted... you’re not alone & if u need to chat, msg me, I got u) My fav thing is pursuing the things I’m weakest at aka singing, writing & running 🤷🏻‍♀️ Point of this? idk... this is my journal that I forget is public & I just feel like my energy has been negative lately, so if u read this far & I was crappy lately... i am sorry

##15K #momentumrun 6.1 done I'm not sure why but I was quite nervous the night before. May be because 15K is not a common distance. And because of the water station too. Compared to #21k #hm I did more hm compared to 15K. Well, Im glad I finally made it. DO YOU EVEN DEADLIFT... properly 🤔 Does you back blow up during/after a big deadlift session? Let’s look at 3 possible reasons why. 1️⃣ Set up: The way you’re positioned around the bar can make or break the lift. If you’re shins aren’t vertical and within kissing distance of the bar, you’re likely putting too much stress on your lower back. 2️⃣ Rounded spine: If you’re back looks like a cashew when you deadlift your hips are tilted posteriorly and your spine is flexed and just like when you flex your biceps, after enough reps it’s going to blow up. 3️⃣ Copy Cat: You deadlift how you saw the person next to you do it whose 2ft taller than you and has giant femurs. In the video Mick is a tall bit of timber and initially lifts with a high hip, if you’re quad dominant this probably isn’t the best set up for you.
