I can genuinely say that I’m actually really happy with this gain tonight for #thursweigh! I was expecting a lot more than this and I know that it would have been deserved. But I also know that this will be nothing to get back off! This week was important to my journey, because life happens and I am far from a perfect person. Weeks like this will happen and it’s good for me to learn that it’s okay. Without beating myself up over it too, which is the most important lesson here. Food cravings 🤩 They are totally normal, and everyone experiences them. They could be trying to tell you something. Or they might not be telling you anything at all 🤷‍♀️ They're something to be curious about (what else is going on in my life?) My (very generalized) advice? Eat what you are craving. ⠀ ...⠀ Let's talk more specific examples 👉🏻 I've recently been craving sushi like crazy. No idea why. BUT sushi and/or poke is really freaking expensive. And I live in Utah 😂 So yes, I've gotten sushi because it was what I was craving, but I don't have it every time I want it. Intuitive Eating may seem sometimes like "omg I want donuts I'll eat all the donuts", but it's a lot more nuanced, more soft and grey. Intuitive eating is knowing that you CAN have the foods you are craving at any moment (aka I'll budget for sushi), but also takes into account your resources (ie time, money, etc). It has to be sustainable within your lifestyle, and if your lifestyle has a budget, it has to fit within that! 🙌🏻 ⠀ ...⠀ Thoughts? What have you been craving lately? ⠀

Tonight is a good night. Got home from my workshop and made pizza wontons, which are always amazing and then I threw a salad on the side. I had pretracked a chocolate mug cake and some ice cream to have later, but I decided that I didn’t really want that tonight and a salad with the pizza wontons sounded better 🤷🏼‍♀️ not sure who I think I am but I’m just going to roll with it 😂 also tonight Grey’s Anatomy is returning from winter hiatus 🙌🏻 and I am so excited for it! SLOW COOKER BEEF TIPS: . . Ingredients: * 3 pounds beef sirloin, trimmed and cut into 1 in pieces * 1 1/2 teaspoons salt * 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper * 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder * 1/4 cup all-purpose flour * 2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil * 1 large onion, chopped * 2 garlic cloves, minved * 2 cups beef stock * 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce * 1 tablespoon Ketchup * 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar * 2 tablespoons water * 1 teaspoon pepper * 1 tablespoon cornstarch * 2 teaspoons dried parsley . . Directions: * Heat oil over medium-high heat in large skillet. In a small bowl add beef and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and flour. Mix until evenly coated. Add beef mixture to skillet and sear all sides * Remove beef to slow cooker * In skillet add onion and sauté until translucent and golden. Then add garlic. Continue to cook 1-2 minutes. * Add onions and garlic over top beef in slow cooker * Add stock, Worcestershire, ketchup, balsamic vinegar, water and pepper to slow cooker. Mix until combined. * Cook 7-8 hours on low * Strain liquid into sauce pan, bring to a boil, and whisk cornstarch in allowing no clumps. Continue to boil until thickened to a light gravy * Place beef over egg noodles and ladle gravy on top . . Get real with yourself. Something I really started doing in the past year is asking myself why I think & do certain things. Why I feel jealousy towards someone else. Why I feel negativity towards (x). Why I'm continuously failing at (x). . This might sound simple or silly, but MAN has it helped me not only get to know myself, but also to face the cold hard truth, STOP making repeated bad habits, and ultimately GROW. Usually, when I ask myself those questions, the answer SUCKS and it's usually something I don't want to admit to. But there is power in that admittance. Because then you get mad, maybe feel bad about it... but then you make CHANGES. Stop making excuses and tucking the truth under the table.
