Turned my tiny kitchen to a studio yesterday and today for the product shoot of #naminaturale Skincare and Wellness Oils Range. Can’t wait to launch the final outputs on www.naminaturale.com very soon! . . . So I can now officially add to my CV that I am my own product photographer, my own boss, marketing and graphic designer, human tester, skincare formulator, aside from being an artisan home baker, architect and aspiring project manager and entrepreneur by heart. 😂 . . . I ended up reshooting again today because (being a perfectionist as I am 🙈) I realized there is too much reflection on the bottle. So I adjusted the lighting to be taller today. It was all worth it though because I also learned how to manipulate focus lights and have more understanding of shades and shadows.

:: ANNOUNCEMENTS :: . In the week before we go home for the holidays, there’s a lot happening here at Chiron’s. And I’d like to share it with you. . Today, my dear friend Evan Sylliaasen, founder of The Northwest School of Aromatic Medicine (@aromatic_medicine), has opened registration for The Traditional Incense Crafting Course, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. If you’re interested at all in the ancient art of traditional incense crafting, please take the time to click the link in my profile to dive into these teachings. You won’t regret it. . As for the Apothecary, I realize many of you might not even know that we have physical products. But we do! Realllllly special, small batch, organic and local to the Pacific Northwest - these medicines are made with heart. And because there’s only a week left that I may be able to get these to you in time for Christmas, I’d like to offer you 50% off in the shop (not including flower essences). Please head over to chironsapothecary.com to get your code to be used at checkout. . There are changes on the horizon for how we make and sell medicines here, so if there’s something that’s caught your eye - make sure to grab it. It might not be there again 🌿

Making medicines is hands down one of the most precious aspects of my life. In the apothecary I focus a lot on flower essences, elixirs, and infused body oils, yet in my daily life it goes far beyond that. . Lately, I’ve been introduced to the world of incense as medicine and it wasn’t until I actually made it myself that it really clicked into place in my heart. . Herbal preparations such as incense - the original aromatherapy - have been used for centuries to ward off viral infections and negative energies, clear and calm the mind, and bring focus to meditations. . Want to learn more about the traditions of incense as medicine and how to make your own? My best bud Evan, owner of The Northwest School of Aromatic Medicine (@aromatic_medicine) just released the last video of his free training series on making your own handcrafted incense... you don’t want to miss it! Be sure to click the link in my profile to sign up. 🌿

In culinary applications, freshly picked parsley is preferred. Simply wash the leaves and stems, chop into small pieces and then sprinkle over the dish before serving. Parsley oil, on the other hand, must be extracted from the seeds, roots and leaves of the plant. The seeds actually contain more essential oils, although the entire plant can be used for making the oil. Parsley oil is either colorless or a very pale yellow color, and has a more bitter scent compared to the fresh plant. It also has aromatherapeutic uses and has been used to treat various illnesses, including jaundice and malaria. This oil also has antibacterial and antifungal properties that can help treat pimples, acne and skin infections, as well as disinfect pores
