💙💙 Its #alopeciaawarenessmonth 💙💙
I can’t begin to explain how tough this hair loss journey has been. I have Alopicia Universalis, basically my body rejects my hair follicles and has plans of its own.
It started with a couple of spots I tried covering up with bangs and head bands in HS. I took vitamins, pills, got needle injections, tried special shampoos, went to specialist and nothing changed.
At first I tried not to let it get to me and just keep doing what I always do. My mom bought my first wig & I was good to go 👌🏾 Then the most embarrassing thing happened. My team had won our first game of the summer and we had a pool party to celebrate. Some guys thought it would be funny to throw girls in the pool, I was the first target 🙄. Ill spare the dets but I cried for 4 days straight. It broke me 💔 I felt alone, ugly and ashamed.
Its taken 10 years long years to come to terms with myself. I AM BEAUTIFUL!! With or without hair Alopecia doesn’t define me 😘
SN: my wigs are secure now lol 😆#alopeciastylist #alopeciauniversalis#alopeciabeauty#bl6ckgirls#blackqueen##alwaysbeautiful#wcw#loveyourself#morpheeyeshadow#maclipstick#nakedcosmetics#anastasiabeverlyhills#baldandbeautiful#ardelllashes#iamfree
