One of my favorite fictional characters, Anne of Avonlea, was an optimistic, creative writer and teacher, an overall inspiring woman. I hope to be like her some day. She, through the writing of L.M. Montgomery, a role model in her own right, said, " That is one good thing about this world ... there are always to be more springs." Today I was given these precious little tokens of Spring. Their names, they tell me, are Happy and Boo; they have taken up residence on my desk just within cuddling range, exactly what I needed during a difficult time.
Support comes in many forms. Sometimes it's a text saying I'm thinking of you. Other times, it's a smile, a kind word, or even a thoughtful little gift. Regardless of how dark, bleak, and cold the winter may be, spring always comes. It always has. It always will. There will always be new beginnings, little victories, life renewal. There will always be more springs.
