@crystalholtyoga has it SO right. If you love something, DO IT! Thanks for articulating what we're about so eloquently 👏🏼 👇🏼 "Double-tap if you have ever felt uncomfortable in a yoga class or you have felt so uncomfortable that you haven’t tried yoga because of it. 🙋‍♀️ That was me! Like most of you, I felt so uncomfortable with doing yoga poses in my body that I didn’t for years. I had wanted to try yoga in public, in a class for at least 10 years before I finally jumped off the cliff. I did it and it has been the most amazing journey since. Yes, there have been some ups and downs and we all have those moments of feeling uncomfortable in our bodies. But remembering to be grateful for what your body can do will help shift those thoughts. So for all you followers out there having these thoughts or wading your way through them this post is for you. You are not alone." ♥️ 📸 @emilyelisephotography

You can’t please everyone. Working on not caring what others think can be really difficult, but you just have to keep on being your true self and loving your true self too! Hi! 👋🏼 I am here with this tiny pumpkin to remind you that you can’t self-loathe your way to confidence. You can’t hate your body into being skinny. You can’t compare your way to a positive body image. You can’t fix your life and your self esteem with weight loss. But here’s what you CAN do. You can love yourself at any size. You can speak kindly to and about yourself. You can pursue a healthy lifestyle as a way to care for your body, not punish it. You can give your body some water instead of iced coffee once in a while... You can remind yourself that ‘skinny’ is not a fruit of the spirit, and that there are many more important qualities to focus on than attaining a thigh gap. You can still rock them high waisted jeans right now if you want to. You can push past your insecurities and post the whole body photos even though you’d much rather stick to selfies. You can give yourself the reality check that you’ve never once loved anyone in your life MORE or LESS due to their size; so why would you believe that others would feel that way about you? You can show up for yourself and your life, no matter how far you may be from your “goal weight.” You can love the body you have right now, and whether it gets larger or smaller or stays the same over the course of months and years and days; it’s the same body. Be kind to it. 🤟🏼
