Day 2 of LIIFT4 was going great until...I snapped the resistance band!💪🏼 .
I’d like to say it was because I’m so huge & strong but the slightly embarrassing truth is I had a temper tantrum.😡 I’m a weights Girl! I don’t like resistance bands but that’s what I have while my weights take the slow boat to Hale Tait.🚢 I’d been struggling to make the adjustments to get the right tension. I even tied a big knot on a few exercises to take up the slack. You can see where this is going... .
Tension on a stretchy, rubber knot + a lot of pulling by a person who is not only super-strong but also sometimes struggles w/ anger management = very stubborn knot!🤬
So I did what anyone else would do...I pulled harder! In my defense the knot was rolling w/ each tug & I thought it would completely unroll. It did not. It snapped! It snapped back & bruised the hell out of my hand & thumb. Workout complete! 🤯 Time for ice!
P.S. That is the sound of a C-5 on short final into Hickam Field!✈️
