Doin’ it for the gram.
I find it odd when I hear people “wishing I had that life” or “wishing I look like that”. All based on 1 picture on the gram.
I was recently asked how I afford to travel “so much” - I call it SAVING 💵 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1)I work as a Nurse, so yes I do feel like I have more flexibility when it comes to my leave BUT before I go away, 2) Im working all 3-4 weekends of the month 3) Instead of spending money going out on w/es- Im working and making money. 4) Whenever I can, I do double shifts or night duty shifts also. Money don’t grow on trees- GUESS WHAT? People actually work and save in order to afford to travel. Shocking!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ People see pictures which-NEWS FLASH!! Have been edited or presented to paint this picture of a perfect world where people or “influencers” are living the life, have perfect bodies, been flown to luxurious destinations, perfect hair, perfect everything- REALITY CHECK! That is not necessarily everyday real life! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This message might be more relevant to a younger crowd but actually, to anyone that feels bad about themselves due to a ‘picture’. A picture doesn’t always speak a thousand words- at least not anything that should make you compare yourself to others, or feel bad about yourself. The gram ain’t worth all that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Disclosure:This picture was edited thanks to my self taught skills and YouTube tutorials of @lightroom and this trip was sponsored by working w/es,extra hours and saving my pennies in order to see the world. This picture does not include wearing beautiful clothes in this amazing backdrop- because MY reality is that Im a jeans and tshirt kinda girl, and I don’t need to change that for the gram. 💥
