My program called for 3 Miles Easy today. I know ‘easy’ is referring to slower paced with a low heart rate but this morning I was thinking about how sometimes that feels like the wrong word. Sure they’re less challenging than other workouts on the program, but it’s still effort and work. There are mornings where I legitimately leap out of bed with excitement for my run. But there are also days where I’m not nearly as motivated. Consistency in running is so important. Showing up on the days you feel like doing work is easy, showing up day after day on the ones you don’t feel like working ... that’s the real hard stuff.
