I’m inches away from being a 12 year #strokesurvivor. 4•23•2007 changed everything.
I still work to push through central post stroke pain. I still fight post-stroke migraines. It still irritates the right side and at times can be a bit crippling, but I’ve learned what works for me:
Whether with a dose of jumping jacks, some stretching, or a walk, MOVEMENT helps MOVE IT.
I tell my body what to do. And it listens.
And you know what else? It never hurts to spend some time in the sun.
Being stagnant and sitting with the pain simply isn’t a win. It only makes matters worse.
But movement? That’s what brings about change.
How has movement helped heal you?
P. S. I’ve been in a far away land this week, but I look forward to coming home to #Nebraska and speaking for the Papillion-La Vista School District and the La Vista Library back to back. Stay tuned! 💋 “Beloved, I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.” #3John1v2
