we live on the most beautiful planet which needs our help, each and every one of us, to stop from being destroyed. this is why i’ve made a list, a challenge, to change my habits and reduce my carbon footprint over 30 days - making a change will go right into my future. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ join me, the challenge is below: Day 1: Switch to energy efficient light bulbs Day 2: Turn off your computer & phone overnight - and don’t charge them Day 3: Don’t pre-rinse dishes Day 4: Don’t pre-heat oven and leave the door shut Day 5: Always recycle - make sure you have separate bins in your home Day 6: Use a clothesline Day 7: Have a vegetarian or vegan day Day 8: When using a piece of paper, use it all up! Day 9: Invest in a reusable water bottle and mug Day 10: Choose to shower rather than bath Day 11: Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth/washing your face Day 12: Shorten your shower time Day 13: Plant a tree Day 14: Buy second hand, visit a charity shop or buy used on Ebay/Amazon. Day 15: Turn off lights when you’re not in a room Day 16: Invest in a non plastic shopping bag Day 17: Figure out what routes you could cycle rather than drive Day 18: Boycott palm oil. Notice what has palm oil in it. Day 19: Pick up litter - don’t just ignore it. Take out a bag to put it in to. Day 20: Volunteer for community cleanups Day 21: Find out what your local government are doing and how to get involved Day 22: Find something a plastic free alternative to something you use regularly: Day 23: Switch to Ecosia as your web browser Day 24: Make a list before you do a food shop Day 25: Find out which routes you can do with public transport Day 26: Keep track of trash and avoid buying these things Day 27: Donate to food kitchens Day 28: Drink loose leaf tea Day 29: Find a reusable purpose for plastic that you can’t avoid Day 30: Check where your produce is coming from. Avoid food shipped from abroad.
